Quick answer

Keep the objective HUD visible, finish the household sequence, prepare the laptop step, and protect the final escape phase.

Phase 1

Clear the opening household objectives

The checked House run uses on-screen objectives rather than one free-form scavenger hunt.

  1. Read the first task before leaving the starting area.
  2. Complete the named household interaction and wait for the HUD to change.
  3. Watch hunger, thirst, and stamina indicators while moving between rooms.
  4. If a task appears complete but the HUD remains, retry the closest interaction prompt.
Phase 2

Prepare and use the laptop sequence

Public gameplay shows laptop charge/use as part of the House progression. Exact timing can change, so follow the live prompt.

  1. Treat charging and using the laptop as separate interactions when the objective says so.
  2. Do not abandon the area until the objective advances.
  3. In co-op, have one player handle the interaction while another watches the approach route.
Phase 3

Survive pursuit without losing the route

  1. Run toward a known loop or hiding interaction, not deeper into an unchecked room.
  2. Use stamina deliberately; a full sprint at the wrong moment can leave no recovery margin.
  3. A closet or shower is useful only if it breaks pursuit and lets you return to the objective.
  4. Call out the parent location before a teammate leaves a safe room.
Phase 4

Protect the escape

  1. Re-read the final objective instead of assuming the exit is already active.
  2. Bring the team back onto one route before the last movement phase.
  3. Use a revive when it preserves completed progress; avoid spending it on an unrecoverable split route.
  4. Confirm the escape registers before treating the run as a win in your planner.
Stuck check

The three fastest checks

  1. Current HUD wording.
  2. Held item or last object used.
  3. Whether another player triggered the next step elsewhere.
